Beachies Privacy Policy

Beachies is a relaxing pixel-art beach game for Android and iPhone, made by Overwatch Data Services LLC. It does not ask for an account, show ads, or use analytics. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. The game itself never goes online; the one exception is an optional purchase, described below, which Google Play or Apple's App Store handles.

What stays on your device

Your beach (decorations, finds, hats, goals, and settings) is saved only on your device, in the game's own storage. We never see it. Uninstalling the game deletes it.

Photos and sharing

When you tap the camera button, the game saves a picture of your beach to your device: on Android in the Download/beachies folder, on iPhone in your Photos library. On iPhone the game asks the first time for permission to add photos only; it cannot see or read the photos already in your library. When you tap Share, the picture is handed to the app you choose from the system share sheet; what happens after that is governed by that app's own privacy policy.

The Beach Pass (optional purchase)

Beachies is free to play. An optional one-time purchase, the Beach Pass, is sold through Google Play's billing system on Android and through Apple's App Store on iPhone. The store processes the payment under its own privacy policy (Google's or Apple's); we never see your payment details. The game only asks the store whether the Beach Pass is owned, so it can unlock it on your device and restore it after a reinstall. We receive the standard sales records the store provides to every seller (such as an order number, date and price; Apple's reports carry no personal details), which we use only for accounting and refunds.

Permissions

Beachies does not use your location, your contacts, your camera, or your microphone. On Android, Google Play's billing library adds three permissions: billing, internet access and network state. They are used only to talk to Google Play about the Beach Pass; the game sends nothing else anywhere. On iPhone, the only permission Beachies asks for is adding photos to your library (see above); the App Store purchase needs no permission.

Children

Beachies collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version of Beachies changes any of this, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
